| What about Harris Lillis "Bing" Crosby? Other than Elvis or MJ on real king. | | When the discussion for who is the real King of Music ( Elvis or MJ ) still raging, how about Harris Lillis "Bing" Crosby who did Vocal, traditional pop and Jazz who dominated both music and film worlds much before Elvis and MJ captured hearts of millions of Americans and was third most popular actor of all time beside Clark Gable and John Wayne and his most popular movie White Christmas released in 1954 shattered box office with a whopping $30 million. Bing Crosby inspired many male singers including likes of Frank Sinatra,Perry Como and Dean Martin. "I surrender Dear", "Wrap your troubles in Dreams" mega hits of 1930's after his first hit "Ol' Man River" a Jazz influenced rendition in the year 1928. So Bing was King in that era. His records sold an estimated sale of 500 Million next to Beattles and Elvis of one billion plus.MJ's songs stood at 750 million. He was successful both as actor and singer. He also lifted the morale of American GI during World War-II as quoted by Yank Magazine and declared him "Most admired Man alive" in 1948 polls. | | Who do you like, Bing Crosby or Frank Sinatra? | | These two crooners of yesteryears were probably the singer's singer of their time. I learned that Frank idolized Bing as the latter got into the business earlier. Anyways, both are legends, but which one do you think has achieved far greater heights in their careers during their prime (or their lifetime)? | |

| | do you think movies like the old time musicals would be popular today? | | I just love the old musicals like the ones with Gordon McRae, Bing Crosby, etc. I love the soundtracks from these old movies. I know Hollywood has produced modern ones like Grease, etc., but even that was a while back. I know too, that a few "musicals" have been made here and there, but they used to be so popular! Would you like to see musicals being done again? Do you think they would be as popular as they were "back in the day"? | |

| Christmas | | What is your favorite Christmas song, mine would have to Silent Night and Rudolph the red nose reindeer. | |
| | Under the mistletoe, kissing a star | | I've been thinking about mistletoe today. We don't see mistletoe as much as we did when I was a kid. It would be perfect to share a kiss with Bing Crosby under the mistletoe if it were possible. White Christmas is my favorite Christmas song of all time so it would be awesome.
Who would you kiss under the mistletoe and why? Don't be shy[em]happy[/em] | |
